In-Home Treatment Program

Stronger families grow here.

When mental health struggles disrupt family life, our team comes to you. We work alongside parents and caregivers to create healing environments at home, providing evidence-based therapies that help children thrive while keeping families connected and supported.

Guiding families through tough times.

Parenting is hard—especially when a child is struggling with big emotions, trauma, or behaviors that feel overwhelming.

The Guiding Partnerships and Solutions (GPS) Program at Lynwood Charlton Centre is here to help. We provide free, in-home mental health support for children, youth, and their caregivers—so families can stay together, grow stronger, and navigate challenges with confidence.

About the Program

Who We Help

GPS is designed for kids and teens (and their caregivers) who are facing:

  • Emotional or behavioural struggles disrupting home, school, or community life.

  • Risk of out-of-home placement due to mental health needs.

  • A need for flexible, intensive care (avg. 4 hours/week) tailored to their unique situation.

How It Works

We meet families where they are—literally. Our team goes to homes and schools to provide:

  • Child/youth therapy to build coping skills and resilience.

  • Caregiver support to strengthen parenting strategies.

  • Family-centered healing through meetings, skill-building, and collaboration with schools or community services.

Everyone deserves support on their toughest days.

No two children, teens or families are alike, so our approach is evidence-based but never one-size-fits-all. Together, we’ll focus on strengths and goals to create healthy lasting change.

“One day you will tell your story of how you overcame what you went through and it will be someone else’s survival guide.”
