Caregiver and Sibling Support Group
December 2, 2026
Caring for a child or youth with mental health challenges or complex needs can feel isolating. You may feel like no one truly understands what your days look like—the appointments, the advocacy, the worry, the love, and the exhaustion that comes with it all.
You are not alone.
Lynwood Charlton Centre has partnered with Children's Mental Health Ontario (Parents and Caregivers for Mental Health) and the Young Caregivers Association to offer a FREE, monthly support group for families, caregivers, and siblings of children and youth facing mental health challenges or complex needs.
This is an opportunity to:
Connect with others who truly understand your journey
Share resources, experiences, and practical wisdom
Build community and reduce isolation
Feel seen, heard, and supported
While adults connect, siblings have their own space.
Siblings of children with mental health challenges or complex needs often carry their own unique experiences—and their own need for support. While parents and caregivers meet, siblings will have a dedicated space to:
Learn new skills for managing emotions and building resilience
Meet peers who understand their experience
Enjoy fun, age-appropriate activities in a supportive environment
What to Expect:
A warm, welcoming environment with no judgement
Facilitated discussion and peer connection
Free parking, bus tickets, snacks, and drinks provided for those attending in person
A consistent monthly gathering—first Wednesday of every month, September through June
Who Is This For?
Parents and caregivers of children and youth with mental health challenges or complex needs
Siblings of children and youth with mental health challenges or complex needs
